Jeremy Lin has become the newest Golden State Warrior, and in doing so has fulfilled his life-long dream.

On Wednesday afternoon, Jeremy completed the signing of a two-year contract with the Warriors. According to a variety of sources, he also received offers from the Lakers and from Dallas. Apparently, he even received a counter offer that was even greater than his Warrior’s deal. However, nothing could lure him away from a contract with the team he spent his childhood watching, which will also give him the opportunity to play in the town where his family live.

Pelham High School Basketball Team Just Can’t Get Enough of the Game!

Just outside of Birmingham Alabama is the sixth fastest growing community in the nation. Located in the foothills of Oak Mountain, it is picturesque in every way. A main theme of the community is supporting the local Pelham High School and its there, that you will find basketball fever. The fever is contagious because this area of the country just can’t get enough of the game and their favorite team. The Pelham High School Basketball Team has a mascot named ‘Paws” the panther. The colors of green and gold don’t just pervade the halls but are all over the town.

Thomas Heyward Academy: Promoting Sportsmanship

The history of many areas of South Carolina includes the fact that the advancement of the railroad played a major role in creating some of today’s towns and communities. There is a small and beautiful town called Ridgeland, SC that owes its origins to accepting the railroad for the advancement of their town. In the midst of this lush southern area, the Thomas Heyward Academy was founded. A small private school, they pride themselves on learning through hard work and good sportsmanship. The key sports focus for this school is basketball, with a better selection of players and teams than many of the larger schools.
