When considering your electronic scoreboard you will need to know the placement and size, the colors of your team or school and the method of connectivity. You have also decided whether you will have an indoor or outdoor scoreboard position or whether your interests will be with a portable scoreboard. These choices will be the major portion based on the location of your scoreboard and the type of games that will be held. All of the electronics will be matched with those decisions and will be some of the primary topics that start the conversation with our team of professional counselors.
Now you will want to think about the secondary level of considerations that you may not have been aware of:
Custom ID Panels:
These are the add-on panels that will give your scoreboard your unique identity. Whether it’s your school or team logo, name or both, the custom id panel creates an immediate sense of ownership. This is of special importance when you have home games, because a custom ID panel shouts out possession of the game to your opponents. The custom ID panels are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to accommodate the look that you want as that added touch for your scoreboard. Each of our custom ID panels is custom built to order for you, with the quality craftsmanship that Electro-Mech is so well known for.
Sponsorship:
The attitude of sponsorship has completely changed in the last number of years. Almost all schools are following the lead of professional stadiums with sponsorship. Offering placement for advertising gives your sponsors the chance to show the community, fans and the team that they support you. This is also an excellent opportunity for you to establish a return-on-investment concept. Sponsorship will help to pay for the scoreboard as well as future team or school sports related expenses. Many schools are establishing a committee to work with local businesses for permanent sponsorship as well as the chance for others to show their support in alternating advertising. Another idea is to coordinate sponsorship on the scoreboard with school related items such as cups, shirts, etc. that are sold at the game.
Accessories:
There are a number of accessories that you might want to think about now as they can make the best use of your scoreboard experience. While these accessories can be ordered later, it is smart move to get all of your decisions for budget considerations.
Depending upon the type of sport that will be played, you might want to consider a Handheld Delay of Game Timer Controller, the Handheld Shot Controller and the Handheld Game Clock Start/Start Controller.
If you don’t have a designated, locked area for the controller to use, a carrying case for the control console and accessories is a wise choice. The carrying case will also offer protection for the hardware which will give it a longer life span.
