Both of these games (actually three total) were incredible outliers for a game where the average score usually adds up to ten runs or less. Basketball Team of Bethesda School Savannah, Georgia Was a State Runner-Up in 2009
The Bethesda School, located in Savannah, Georgia, has recently had a great deal of success when it comes to their basketball team. At this school basketball is so popular that the school had a new Basketball Scoreboard 2570 installed, to show the team that the entire school is behind them. The season started with a forty six to seventy eight loss against Urban Christian Academy, a school that is also in Savannah, Georgia. In the following game against Providence Christian Academy from Lilburn, GA, Bethesda really lit up the scoreboards with a seventy two to fourteen win. Apparently that first loss was a great motivator, because for the following twenty games the team won, which was why they made State Runner Up. When it comes to team sports in North Carolina, many sports are played but basketball is the most successful, and one of the most popular. In college basketball, number three ranked North Carolina University has a number of wins, and only a couple of losses. North Carolina State University has not fared so well, with a mix of wins and losses through the season. The North Carolina Tar Heels started off the basketball season being ranked top on all of the polls, and has been ranked as one of the best basketball teams in America. The team did suffer an upset against Boston, when they lost with a score of seventy eight to eighty five, but the team has bounced back and is playing better than ever before. Every facility where the team plays offers modern equipment, including an LED scoreboard, and this allows them to play at the top of their game. This equipment also offers the benefits of drawing in more sports fans and revenue for the facility and the team. Shortest Players in NBA History
Ever since the inception of basketball as a sport in the later 19th century, height has been the one dominant trait that gives a clear advantage in playing. Since the basketball rim stands 10 feet above the ground, obviously the closer a player is, the easier it is to score and block baskets. The basketball player and later profuse television commentator Bill Walton is fond of quoting “You can’t teach height,” which succinctly points out the obvious advantage that height gives a player above all other skills. In basketball short players are a rare find and in the professional league, they are even rarer. The shortest basketball player to ever play in the NBA is Mugsy Bogues.

When it comes to baseball, a number of high schools and colleges in the state have purchased and installed a new scoreboard, with the goal of helping the students feel the enthusiasm and support from larger crowds of sports fans. This can encourage players to give their best, and play better than ever. The Farragut High School baseball team had an excellent season and year, going to the 2009 State Championships and winning. This gives the team three championship wins in the last four years, and in the last seven years the team took the State Championship five times. This team is considered one of the best teams in the state, and possibly the nation, no matter what classification is considered. One key player in the championship game this year was Curt Powell, who plays the position of shortstop and has been named the area Player of the Year for Knoxville, as well as the winner of the Gatorade Baseball Player of the Year Award for the entire state.

Baseball Teams of Stratford Academy at Macon, Georgia Have Strong Winning Traditions
When it comes to baseball and winning traditions, Stratford Academy in Macon, Georgia has what it takes. This southern school was founded in the year 1960, and the campus contains more than seventy acres, much of it lush and wooded. It is a region 2AAA school, and it has a long and rich history when it comes to baseball success, as well as other team sport achievements. The school recently made a decision to install new electronic scoreboards, to boost team spirit and draw in more sports fans and visitors. The equipment chosen was the Baseball Scoreboard 1550, and it was a terrific choice for a number of reasons. The Stratford Academy Eagles baseball team has a long history of success and winning, going back to the first time the school won the State Championship in 1972. Since then the school’s baseball team has taken a total of ten championships, four of them almost consecutively from 1972 to 1976. When it comes to baseball Stratford Academy is one of the best in the country, and students at this school are offered all of the support needed to succeed, whether it is in baseball, another sport, academic life, or other concerns.

Michael Jordan’s Basketball History
His airness Michael Jordan was in a league of his own throughout his career. Even before going pro or rolling out his exclusive Air Jordan’s, Michael was special. His time in his high school and college were remarkable by how unremarkable they were. Cut from the varsity Laney High School basketball team and later overshadowed at UNC by their star James Worthy, Jordan overcame struggles to show up when it mattered. Michael Jordan basketball history truly began in the NCAA finals during his college freshman year. UNC was playing future NBA star Patrick Ewing’s Georgetown Tarheels, when Jordan took over the game scoring 16 points with 9 rebounds and the game winning shot with 18 second left in the game.

At just 48 minutes of game time, the NBA basketball game is the shortest of all the major sports with a game clock that theoretically does not stop. Of course, it does stop quite a bit for fouls, timeouts, commercials and quarter breaks and it can have overtime periods if the score remains tied at the end of the game. The longest basketball game ever set the record longest basketball game by going into 6 overtime periods. Each overtime period adds 5 minutes to the game.

Baseball Team of the Nations Top North Moore High School of Robbins, NC
Top Moore High School, located in Robbins, North Carolina, is a school known for baseball and excellence, both together and separately. The school recently had a new electronic scoreboard installed, to help boost team spirit and player morale at the school. This high school was the very first one to open up in Moore County, and it was given the honor of being named as one of the best schools in the entire country just a couple of years ago. The 2008 graduating class made history in two distinct ways: it was the largest class ever to graduate from the school, and the scholarship amounts awarded to the graduating students was the largest seen yet by the school, at around one hundred thousand dollars. The North Moore High School Mustangs baseball team has played an important part in student life through the years, and the current year is no exception.
