Basketball Game at Gilead Christian in Macon, GA
Gilead Christian Academy is located in Bibb County, in the city of Macon, Georgia. This is a private baptist school, and it covers grades kindergarten through twelve. The Gilead Christian Academy basketball program and team are extremely popular at this school., and the team has seen decent success in the last few years. A typical basketball game at this school has become much more exciting and enjoyable since the school purchased and installed a new LED Basketball Scoreboard 2655. Many schools in the state, and across the country, are installing new LED scoreboards for the many benefits that this equipment offers. Fans will travel farther to watch a game where modern equipment is used, and these score keeping devices make it easy to keep an eye on all the critical aspects of the game no matter how far away the visitor is sitting. More visitors and sports fans means more revenue generated for the sports team and the school, and in very little time a new scoreboard will pay for itself. Basketball is a big deal to students, faculty, and visitors at Gilead Christian Academy, and the games normally have a large attendance with many cheering fans. The new equipment has only added to the team spirit and student enthusiasm that is seen by the team.

WNBA Draft Picks
The 2008 WNBA Draft picks were highlighted by the number one selection, Candace Parker. Recent NBA Rules Change in Regards to “Too Many Players on the Court”
Never one to sit on his laurels, NBA Commissioner David Stern is always willing to react to any problems he sees in the game of basketball and change the NBA rules. When Charles Barkley was dominating the game in the early 1990s, he changed the rules to only allow a player to dribble with his back to the basket for a three-count, eliminating Barkley’s favorite move. When, a few years later, Shaquille O’Neal dominated any single player sent to defend him, Stern changed the basketball player rules to effectively allow a zone defense. This helped other teams to defend him with multiple players before he even touched the ball. This also freed up other players to score and the game changed from a slow, grind-it-out game back into a high-scoring, fan friendly event.
