Monica Abbott is generally considered the greatest player in the history of college softball. And it was clear from her earliest years that she had the skills that would lead her to greatness.
Her high school career was incredible. She went to Salinas High School in California, where in the three seasons spent there, the softball scoreboards showed that her average was 300 or more strikeouts per season. She was the master at making elite high school batters look average in the process. In her junior season, she pitched no less than seven perfect games.

England’s soccer star Joe Cole moves to Liverpool.

England S Soccer Star Joe Cole Moves To Liverpool_1

The soccer scoreboards in Liverpool will be showing Joe Cole’s name next season, as, in a surprise move, he has been transferred Liverpool from Chelsea. He has been offered wages in the region of $120,000 a week to move to the North-east club. Most pundits expected him to transfer to Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur. Cole left his previous club Chelsea in June after he felt out of favour with the club over the course of last season. Cole is expected to wear the number seven shirt.

Jake Locker from Washington and Christian Ponder from Florida State are in a dead heat for the top rating amongst quarterbacks, but they are very different prospects and possess completely different skill sets. Christian Ponder has been called more NFL ready even though he does not possess the prototypical size of a quarterback, whilst Jake Locker has fantastic physical skills, a very strong arm and is very quick. What everyone agrees on is that both these players are incredible prospects and NFL football scoreboards across the nation will be showing their name in the near future.

Diego Forlan, the best player in the 2010 World Cup, was considered a big failure in England.

Diego Forlan has won the coveted Golden Boot award as he was considered by experts as being the best player of the World Cup 2010. In almost every game he played in, the soccer scoreboards showed his name, as he scored in almost every game he played in. In addition, he was one of the few players who managed to consistently control the infamously bad “Jubiliani” ball.

In a physical and tough send off in which the final view on the soccer scoreboards was 1-0 to Spain, the English Referee Howard Webb broke a new record for a World Cup final by showing yellow cards to 13 players. All in all 47 fouls were committed in one of the worst tempered finals ever. With a continuous succession of late and aggressive challenges in particular from the Dutch team, Webb was left with little choice. The previous record was 7 yellow cards, but this was beaten in the 57th minute when the referee showed the 7th yellow card to the Dutch defender John Heitinga.

The great baseball announcer Bob Sheppard, who was given the nickname “The Voice of God,” for the way he welcomed generations of fans with his greeting, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Yankee Stadium` and for the way that he introduced stars from Joe DiMaggio to Derek Jeter to the Yankee Stadium. Whilst he never personally gave his age, in 2006 it was confirmed by a Yankees official that he was born on Oct. 20, 1910, which means that he was 99 years old.

Tiger Georgia is a small town at the base of Tiger Mountain. Named after a Cherokee Indian Chief, it’s filled with peaceful views and lush forests. Their slogan is ‘where spring spends the summer’. It has the cozy, friendly atmosphere of a small southern town, but when it comes to sports, it’s another story. Rabun County High School is front and center in basketball and baseball and they won’t let you forget it.
