4 NBA MVPs Who Have Never Won a Championship

4 NBA MVPs Who Have Never Won a Championship

There are great players in the NBA who have not won a single championship even though they have won the MVP. Some of them are now retired while others are still playing with the hope that they will win at least one championship before they retire. There is no doubt that these players are phenomenally talented enough and deserve to reach the pinnacles of the sport, and in this basketball scoreboards feature, I have selected four players who, despite winning an MVP, have not won a Championship, yet truly deserve it.

The 5 Best Players in MLB in Terms of Value

The 5 Best Players In Mlb In Terms Of Value

In this baseball scoreboards feature, I have taken a look at MLB, and asked, which players are offering the best value for money for their teams? All of the players below have been having a great season with their respective teams, and whilst they are (like everyone in MLB!) paid large sums for their efforts, their salaries aren’t as sky high as many of the other players in the league, yet their performances this season are more than justifying what they receive.

5. David DeJesus
The Oakland Athletics have made a good deal by acquiring Dejesus for $6 million. He has been scoring at an average of .232. Though his performances have been good it hasn’t helped the team this season – they continue to struggle.

The Spanish star has had an incredible first season with Barcelona. His Champions League goal against Manchester United really summed it up. He was also a part of Spain’s winning squad and scored in every game of the World Cup except the final. 4 MLB Superstars Who Never Remained the Same After Injury

4 MLB Superstars Who Never Remained the Same After Injury

Almost every player gets injured at some point during their career, but the most hungry players fight the injury, work super hard, and get back into the team with a bang! On the other hand, there are players who either don’t have the fight, or have suffered from a truly debilitating injury, are they unable to gain their previous form after their comeback. In this baseball scoreboards feature, I have taken a look at 4 players who were brilliant prior to getting injured, but who have lost their momentum after an injury. Sad but true.

The 4 Best Midfielders in World Soccer

The 4 Best Midfielders in World Soccer

Midfielders are arguably the single most important members of a team and a huge responsibility rests on their shoulders to track back and defend, as well as to get forward and attack. These are the players who chalk up 10 to 12 kilometers per match, and the ones who need to have the greatest stamina, the ability to shoot, tackle, and dictate the pace of the game. They need to have great footballing intelligence, so as to create opportunities for the strikers with defense splitting passes. All in all, the midfielder role is the most technical, and the most challenging role in soccer.

I looked at four of the top ten highest paid coaches in the NFL in part 1 of this article, and in this football scoreboards feature, I will continue from where I left off, and take a look at the six highest paid coaches of them all!

6. Ken Whisenhunt
The guy who led the Arizons Cardinals to their first Super Bowl victory in the history of the franchise is Ken Whisenhunt. He has been with the Cardinals since 2007 and apart from the team’s fantastic Super Bowl victory the Cardinals have also won the division title twice under his helm. Ken Whisenhunt earns $5.75 million and has been outstanding throughout his tenure with the Cardinals, which is why he gladly offered an extension to his contract in 2010. Who could have known that the 2010 season would turn out so badly terrible one?!

The Top 10 Worthless Players in the NBA

The Top 10 Worthless Players In the NBA

Whilst the NBA, like any other commercialized sport, has its fair share of super talented and world renowned players, it also has a number of players in its ranks who clearly shouldn’t be there. In this basketball feature, I have selected the ten NBA players who I consider to be the biggest good-for-things in the league at the moment.

10. Eric Dampier
Eric Dampier has had an average season in the league which is as good as he can hope for. He currently plays for the Miami Heat and rarely gets a look in on the team. Why? Take a look at his stats and you will see why!.

The Ten Highest Paid Head Coaches in the NFL (Part I)

The Ten Highest Paid Head Coaches In the NFL (part I)

We are always reading (and expressing our disapproval) about the size of player contracts, but rarely do we hear about the contracts coaches sign with their franchises. The size of a contract depends on a number of factors such as the historical success rate of the coach, how much other coaches are earning, how much cash to splash the club has, and so on. In this football scoreboards feature, I have taken a look at the ten richest head coaches in the NFL. As you will see, some of them have brought great things to their team, and deserve the rich rewards that they get, whilst others are just expensive burdens who have achieved nothing!

The Top 5 Most Undeserving MLB MVPs Ever

The Top 5 Most Undeserving MLB MVPs Ever

There are times when a player truly deserves a MVP award but for one reason or another does not get it (Matt Holliday in 2007 anyone?!). On the other hand, there are times when a player (according to the fans consensus) does not deserve a MVP award but somehow gets it anyway. In this baseball scoreboards feature, I have taken a look at the players who deserved the biggest award in baseball least of all..

5. Maury Wills
Maury Wills received the MVP award in 1962 for no reason. Yes, his statistics showed 104 stolen bases but this alone was surely not sufficient to get an MVP award. MVPs are selected through voting and this statistic clearly influenced the voters as they thought that he was the best of that year. In that particular season a truly deserving candidate for the MVP was Millie Ways. Ways was way ahead of Wills according to the statistics. He was leading the league in home runs as well as in wins above replacement (WAR). Other statistics like walks, runs, batting average etc also indicated that Wills should have been the MVP for 1962.

The Top 5 Free Kick Specialists in the History of Soccer

The Top 5 Free Kick Specialists In the History of Soccer

In this soccer scoreboards feature, I have taken a look at the top 5 free kick specialists the soccer world has ever seen. Having a free kick specialist in the team gives it a great advantage, and most teams have at least one free kick specialist in their ranks. Here are my top five favorite free kick specialists to have ever played.

5. Ronaldinho
The Brazilian has an amazing ability to hit a free kick. The England fans know this better than anyone and to this day they can’t forget Ronaldinho’s 35 yard free kick in the 2002 World Cup as a result of which England lost and were sent home. Other than this one there are many instances when Ronaldinho won matches for Brazil with his free kicks and left the opposing goalkeeper looking foolish with the amazing spin he could get on the ball!

As ever, the NBA was exciting and full of surprises this season. Somewhat unexpectedly, the Dallas Mavericks lifted the trophy this year, in a victory that was applauded by everyone across the country, outside of Miami that is!

Last season there were some players who were given unexpectedly big contracts that they did not deserve at all. On the other hand there were players who truly deserved the contract they got and completely justified their fat pay check. 5 NBA Duos That Should Have Played Together Longer

5 NBA Duos That Should Have Played Together Longer

There are certain players who if they had played for their team for a longer time together they would have undoubtedly made a deadly and winning combination. In this basketball scoreboards feature, I have selected the 5 duos who should have played together for much longer than they actually did, and whose partnership sadly came to an end before it reached the great heights that it was otherwise destined for.

5. Jerry Stackhouse and Grant Hill
The Detroit Pistons’ former power house Hill and Stackhouse played together for three seasons only. Though they were college rivals, they left their rivalry behind and played as a unit for the Pistons. Both the players were in their prime when they played together which is why people enjoyed watching them so much.
