Catch #10: Terrell Owens, Dallas Cowboys, Week 13 vs. Seattle Seahawks
While many have questioned Terrell Owens’s conduct off the field, no one doubts his ability as a wide receiver. In this 33-yard grab during the Cowboys’34-9 win over the Seahawks, Owens skillfully stays inbounds while tipping a high throw so that it stays within his reach.

Catch #9: Joe Flacco, Baltimore Ravens, Week 8 vs. Oakland Raiders
The sight of a quarterback reaching out to bring in a long pass is a rare thing indeed. But that is exactly what happened when the Ravens engaged in some trickery by lining up backup quarterback Troy Smith alongside starter Joe Flacco during this 43-yard gain. Flacco guided the Ravens all the way to the AFC championship game.

Catch #8: Mark Clayton, Baltimore Ravens, Week 13 vs. Cincinnati Bengals
This play has Joe Flacco in his more customary role of throwing the ball. Fourth-year wideout Mark Clayton outduels a Cincinnati cornerback for position and then makes a one-handed snag en route to a 70-yard TD in a 34-3 rout of the hapless Bengals.

Catch #7: Lee Evans, Buffalo Bills, Week 7 vs. San Diego Chargers
Evans uses his head, and a hand, in this short but sweet touchdown against the Chargers in a gritty 23-14 Bills win. Evans exceeded 1,000 yards receiving for the season despite his team’s meltdown in the second half of the campaign.

Catch #6: Torry Holt, St. Louis Rams, Week 2 vs. New York Giants
Although 2008 was the first time in nine seasons that Holt did not exceed 1,000 yards in receptions, the seven-time All Pro still showed flashes of brilliance. In this 45-yard touchdown catch against the Giants in a losing effort, Holt shows tremendous concentration as he outwrestles a defender for the ball while falling to the turf.

Catch #5: Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts, Week 5 vs. Houston Oilers
Wayne’s brilliant 5-yard TD catch capped a 21-point fourth quarter for the Colts that carried them to a narrow victory over Houston. He somehow finds a way to defeat near-perfect coverage by cornerback Jacques Reeves and make a one-handed catch while barely staying inbounds. In 2008 Wayne exceeded 1,000 yards in catches for the fifth straight year.

Catch #4: Ted Ginn, Miami Dolphins, Week 10 vs. Seattle Seahawks
The Dolphins surprised just about everybody with their brilliant season in 2008, and second-year receiver Ginn brought a lot of excitement to the table. This scintillating TD catch came on a trick play and defeated double coverage.

Catch #3: Santonio Holmes, Pittsburgh Steelers, Super Bowl vs. Arizona Cardinals
To come up with a game-winning catch in a championship game is every receiver’s dream. What makes this effort by Super Bowl MVP Holmes so special is how he does everything in his power to get his feet inbounds while he is securing the ball.

Catch #2: Larry Fitzgerald, Arizona Cardinals, vs. Atlanta Falcons, Wild Card Playoff
Fitzgerald lays out for a beautiful touchdown catch off a flea-flicker in the opening round of the playoffs against Atlanta. A truly amazing football player, Fitzgerald had 1,400 yards in receptions for the third time in four years, and he played a leading role in Arizona’s brilliant playoff run.

Catch #1: Antonio Bryant, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Week 14 vs. Carolina Panthers
Some plays are just plain jaw-dropping. This one near the end of a Monday Night loss by the Bucs has quarterback Jeff Garcia on the run and getting off an imprecise throw. Bryant adjusts beautifully and somehow gets full extension of his left arm to bring in a one-handed touchdown catch. On this play he became only the second Tampa Bay player in history to reach 200 yards in receiving in a single game.

As much as I hate TO that play you have listed at number 10 really was a great play. He proved that he still has the moves to play a sport he loves. If he would just learn to shut his mouth he’d go a lot farther.
Number 9 is my favorite. I remember when trick plays like this were almost taboo and then the Steelers started doing them during the Kordell Stewart era. I guess when you elbow your opponent in the face without being fined a lot of money you have to find other ways to make the game interesting. Flacco’s a big asset to the Ravens.
Antonio Bryant is so underrated by the fans that I was really glad to see this catch made it onto your list. If he plays that well this year, the Bucs could hit the Super Bowl.
Go Santonio!! I really hope the Steelers nurture him more. He’s that good.
