The Top 5 NBA rookies of 2010/2011

The Top 5 Nba Rookies Of 2010/2011

There has been some amazing addition to the NBA talent this season. As the season is drawing to an end lets take a look at the top 5 rookies who were drafted last year.

5. Wesley Johnson
Wesley Johnson is the right man in the wrong team. He is a superb find but unfortunately plays for a team where his hard work has not paid off. He is trying to turn around the fate of his team, The Minnesota Timberwolves, but he does not have the players around him. He played incredibly well against the Los Angeles Lakers two weeks ago, with the basketball scoreboards showing that he scored a career high 29 points. He has emerged as a solid shooting guard in the NBA and with this kind of performance he will surely go a long way in the league in the years to come.

4. Greg Monroe
The Detroit pistons have drafted a man who in no time has become a threat in the Eastern division. In his freshman year he was named the Big east Rookie of the year. He has a smooth game and is leading the team in rebounding by a heavy margin i.e. 7.2 rebounds. March has been his lucky month with 14 points and 9 rebounds in just 32 minutes! He is a versatile player and now is a regular player for his team. Expect to see much more from him next year.

3. Landry Fields
Landry has been performing really well since he got drafted by the New York Knicks. His team named him the starting shooting guard after his impressive performance during the summer league and has opened all the games the Knicks have played this season. This shows the level of confidence his franchise has in him. He is the leading rebounding NBA guard and will learn a lot from playing alongside two of the superstars of the NBA: Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire.

2. DeMarcus Cousins
Due to his dodgy character, many people doubted his talent, but now he is one of the key players for the Sacramento Kings. DeMarcus alongside Evans is a deadly duo, but the team has to get a few more players like him if they want The Kings to start winning. DeMarcus has the kind of talent that could have a big impact on the tem’s fortunes, however this will only be possible if the franchise tolerates him for a couple of more years!

1. John Wall
Wall has surely been a perfect addition to the Washington Wizards. He plays like a NBA superstar and clearly has the potential to be an All-NBA player of the year in a decade. In only his 3rd game he put on a great show by scoring 29 points, 13 assists and 9 steals. Wall has done justice to the hype that was created around him, and in my view, out of the 5 players in this article, he is the one with the best chance of becoming a true legend!
