Nba Season 2010-2011: 5 Intriguing Questions For The Coming Season.

In news, with the 2010-11 NBA season about to start, we look at some of the most interesting questions about what we can expect in the next few months of action.

1) Will Yao Ming come back strong? In his first 3 seasons, the basketball scoreboards showed that he hardly missed a game, but in the last 5 seasons he has suffered from set back after set back, and he missed all of last season. When injury free, he is generally considered one of the top 3 big men in the NBA. Can he come back this season and re-assert his dominance? Only time can answer this question

2) Which rookie will shine? John Wall, Derik Favors and Evan Turner are all hot prospects. However, the seven footer DeMarcu Cousins looks to be the rookie with the greatest potential. He is very mobile and agile and has a great offense.

3) Which purchase will shine? LeBron James and Chris Bosh are the obvious answers. However, let’s not forget Amare Stoudemire, who has moved to the New York Knickerbockers. This is the first time the team has had a superstar since Patrick Ewing, and his style of play means that his impact is likely to be just as big.

4) Who will win the MVP? This year this interesting question is particularly intriguing. There is a long list of potential candidates, all of whom have a decent chance of winning it. LeBron has a chance of course, as does Wade and Byrant. Nowitizki, Melo and Howard are all possibles. However, many people have tipped Kevin Durant to win it this year. Last year he was the top scorer in the NBA, and he almost single-handedly led the US to winning the World Championship this summer.

5) What will happen if Miami Heat do not win the title? The expectations on the team are unlike anything seen in the NBA. 3 mega-stars who make up 60% of the team has never been seen before. However, in truth it would be unfair to expect that they will run away with it. It is their first season playing together, and they had to play around with the entire roster to meet the salary cap. They may not win it this year, but by next year they certainly should reach the final, or they will be considered a flop.

6) Will the Lakers win it again? The roster has not changed, except for the return of Phil Jackson, who is considered by many as the greatest NBA coach ever. He wins titles in threes and LA are two in a row, so everything points to a third victory for them this year. Apart from Miami Heat, is there really any team that can get close to them? Most fans would agree that the answer is no.
