Major League Baseball Fantasy Camps
Most Major League baseball teams hold fantasy camps during the off season. The kid’s baseball camp allows wide-eyed youngsters to cavort with big league stars and learn the fundamentals of the game. Imagine your child being taught to hit, pitch, throw, and field by his baseball hero…heck, probably your baseball hero! The price tags on Major League Baseball fantasy camps aren’t cheap. The good news is that many individual players hold baseball fantasy camps in their hometowns for a fraction of the price.
Throughout every state in America there are knowledgeable coaches and players who offer a quality kids baseball camp. In many cases the price for the camp are only to cover ground fees. The coaches, players, and organizers donate their time to teach baseball skills. This makes the baseball camp affordable for parents, their children learn valuable skills, and coaches get to stay sharp and improve their skills as well.
Major League Baseball’s International Division holds “Pitch, Hit, and Run” programs throughout the world to teach kids the fundamentals of the game. The program culminates in kids participating in local, regional, and national skills competitions for pitching, hitting, and running bases.
Is a Youth Baseball Camp Beneficial For Your Teen?
Sending your teen to a youth baseball camp will not only improve their on field skills, it should help prepare them for adulthood at the same time. Of course you want them to become more skilled at fielding, hitting, base running, and throwing; however, you also want them to learn life skills such as determination, loyalty, getting along with others, and leadership. These are the type of skills that are going to take them places in the world whether they have a career in baseball or go to college and move into other vocations.
MLB runs a youth baseball camp called Play Ball! Its aim is to lend assistance to communities in establishing youth baseball programs for kids aged 9-12 years old. The teams are assigned a Major League team name, instructional programs, and their own MLB player poster.
Give Your Child an Edge at a Spring Baseball Camp
What can a spring baseball camp do for your child? I’ll give an example from an unrelated sport. When I was in my teens I was my schools track star…200 meters, 400, 1500, it didn’t matter I blew everyone away. One year I went on vacation with my parents and my baseball coach advised me to keep up with my training. I shrugged it off…I was the fastest. When I returned to the track after a lazy vacation, I was third fastest in most events. I took me nearly a month to regain my form.
Starting the regular season game-ready will vault your child to the head of the pack. That’s why professionals have spring training.

I would’ve loved this as a kid but they didn’t do anything remotely like it. So I’m sending my son, who shares my love of the game, to one this summer. We’re both really excited and glad to see that this has come about.
