When it comes to varsity football, John Milledge Academy is the place where sports fans want to be. This high school situated in Milledgeville, Georgia, has an excellent varsity football team and program, one that ensures success quite often. The players are very motivated for victory, but they will have to work for it a little harder next season. The school had a new electronic scoreboard installed, to help raise team spirit and generate extra revenue from increased attendance. The model chosen was one of a number of possible scoreboards, but it was the best choice for the school and the football field. The last season was not the best that the team here has seen, but there were some wins as well as some losses. The first game played was against Westfield School, and John Milledge Academy lost with a scoreboard showing of zero to thirty seven. The school tied with Edmund Burke Academy High, with a score of twenty on each side. The game against Brentwood School was a game that was successful for John Milledge Academy, with a win and the scoreboard that showed the final score of ten to zero. Tattnall Square Academy High won big in their game against the school, with John Milledge Academy getting zero points to sixty three for Tattnall. There were also losses against George Walton Academy, two against Mount De Sales, and losses to Pinewood Christian Academy. When Gatewood Schools was the opponent, the results were mixed with one win and one loss, and the same is true of Holy Spirit Prep. Trinity Christian School lost both of their games here at the school. The football team at John Milledge Academy may not have seen the scoreboards always reflecting a winning score, but the team does not give up and they continue to try hard even when losing.
